Q: Why don't I see the Site Inspector Buttons in my IE Toolbar?!
A: Depending on your Internet Explorer configuration, the Site Inspector Toolbar Buttons may not be displayed after installation. If this happens to you first make sure that all instances of Internet Explorer are closed and then restart IE. If this does not help it is recommended that you reboot the computer once.
If after reboot the buttons still do not show, follow these steps
To add the Site Inspector Icons to your toolbar
-
Find the appropriate button in the available Toolbar Buttons window and select it
-
Click on the Add Button. The Site Inspector Button will be automatically added to the Current Toolbar Buttons and instantly be available on your Microsoft Internet Explorer toolbar.
-
Repeat the process for the other Site Inspector button. When you are finished, click the Close Button to return to your browser window. Note: to make the Site Inspector buttons appear in a different location on your toolbar, simply select the button in the Current Toolbar Buttons and click the Move Up or Move Down Button.
Q: The context menu does not show Site Inspector entries
A: There are webpage elements (such as Macromedia Flash movies and Java Applets) that have their own context-sensitive menus - when you click on them with your secondary (right) mouse button, a different menu appears than when you click on another part of the webpage. To access Site Inspector functionality in this case, simply click on another part of the webpage or use the Site Inspector toolbar buttons.
Q: Can I move PSI's menu entries in IE's context menu into a submenu?
A: No, sorry. Internet Explorer simply does not support this.
Q: I have IE Booster or Site Inspector 3 on my PC, do I have to uninstall it?
A: IE Booster 1.x/2.x and Site Inspector 3 and 4 can be installed on one machine without problems. However, we recommend to uninstall IEB 1/2 and PSI3 before installing PSI4 since this reduces the number of items in your IE context menu as well as the number of toolbars.
